Web Works

Introduction

I fill most of my time running a small online content production company that designs and produces content-rich web sites, generating revenue streams from advertising and product sales. It started as a hobby over 7 years ago and has grown to become my sole source of income. I was a full-time professional baker until September 2004, when I left the profession to devote myself full-time to my business.

I occasionally do some consulting work for select customers but generally stick to in-house work, coming up with new concepts and designs for future projects. I currently have two web sites in live production and plan to add two new sites over the next year, with one of them going live in Jan 2005.

The nature of this business, and the fact that I have no direct clients, affords me great flexibility in my schedule. I like having the freedom to just pick up and go on a hike, be it a day hike or week-long stroll in the Rockies, or help out a friend and still earn income while I'm at it. Sometimes I think I've found the perfect balance between work and experiencing life.
