I have just finished reading "No More Mr. Nice Guy" and was shocked as I listened to the author describe me almost perfectly. It has been scary to hear the tales of how "nice guys" feel about themselves, their personal self worth, their attitudes towards life, happiness, and that of those around them. It has been an emotional roller coaster, as I found myself actually crying over the way he talks frankly about relationships with parents, and those around you. The road to recovery will be painful at times, but I'm sure relieving and exciting at the same time as this "nice guy" discovers how to rid myself of the toxic shame I have within me, and gain the confidence and self assuredness to know that "I can handle it", whatever "it" is that comes along, and that I don't have to live by my perception of a set of rules that no one else lives by, which limits my horizon. Best of luck to you, it seems as though we'll be going through this recovery at the same time. Congratulations on discovering this powerful guide. -Blair

For those of us who know you, I congradulate you on your insight.

Life is what you make of it. Beginning with a better relationship with ones self and finding your own unique passions in life is what makes us all attractive. There fore attracting the right partner or parnters in crime.

Society put so much pressure on us single folk, to live up to certain ideals. When just becoming whole is what really matters.

I have and have always had confidence that you will find the path for you..
